In today's episode of Hector Town, we'll go full evil wizard! We'll start our weekend with a fresh selection of power-hungry (yet high fashion) necromancers, demonologists, and slavers. Because in Thay, when you raise the dead, you do it in (oppressive) style!
Key points that had to be present in the concepts:
1. The Red Wizards are among the wealthiest entities in Faerûn. They hold a massive monopoly on the creation and distribution of cheap, commercial magic items and rule over a vast slave trade. The "rivers of gold" pouring into Thay's coffers allow even low-ranking Red Wizards to afford the finest silks, velvets, and gold.
2. By law, the color red is legally protected. Only Red Wizards and the high priests of the fire god Kossuth are permitted to wear red garments.
Walking around in heavy, immaculate, and impractical silk robes signals to everyone that you do not perform manual labor. It visually separates them from the Tharchions (secular military bureaucrats) and the millions of slaves who serve them.
3. Magically infused ink designs etched directly onto a wizard's shaved head or skin. They can store extra spells.
